The Electrical and Computer Engineering Students Conference (ECESCON) is a pan-Hellenic conference which started in 2007 in Athens. It is a three-day annual event that aims to inform students of all departments of Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering, as well as the rest of the polytechnic schools, about the new technological developments, as well as the new challenges of the Industry.
The ECESCON, this year, is organized in Xanthi, April 19-21, 2024, by Democritus University of Thrace, in a particularly important year for the University, as it celebrates the 50th anniversary of its foundation.
The Conference will include: Speeches on topics related to scientific current affairs, interactive workshops, contact with company representatives, at Career@ECESCON, paper presentations, the projects of the preECESCON 8 competition with the theme “Assistive Technologies” and competitions such as ECESCODE and ArtECESCON

Το Συνέδριο Φοιτητών Ηλεκτρολόγων Μηχανικών και Μηχανικών Υπολογιστών (ΣΦΗΜΜΥ) είναι ένα πανελλήνιο συνέδριο το οποίο ξεκίνησε το 2007 στην Αθήνα. On Friday, October 14, 2022, the IEEEDay 2022 was celebrated by the IEEE IHU Student Branch of Serres Campus
From Saturday 8 to Sunday 9 October 2022, the “IEEE Greece Section Lead Your SB Camp” took place at the University of Thessaly at the Lamia Campus as part of the “Sectional Student Branch Leadership Camp Program” of the IEEE Region 8 Student Activities Committee (SAC) .
The aim of the program is to inform the Executive Committees of the IEEE Student Branches about:
* IEEE procedures (Reporting, Elections, etc.)
* IEEE’s new programs and actions (IEEEDuino, IEEEXtreme etc.)
Additionally, during the event, the IEEE Student Branches received the 2020 and 2021 IEEE Regional Exemplary Student Branch Awards.
From our IEEE Student Branch, the Chair (Alexandra Salpigti) and the Past-Chair and Webmaster (Kostelidis Iordanis) participated.
We thank the IEEE Greece Section, the IEEE Greece Section Student Representative (Alkiviadis Michalitsis), the IEEE Region 8 Student Representative (Theodoros Hatzinikolaou) and of course the IEEE Student Branch of the University of Thessaly in Lamia, for this excellent event.
From Wednesday August 3 to Sunday August 7, 2022, the IEEE Region 8 SYP 2022 took place in Tunis, Tunisia, and the IEEE IHU Student Branch of Serres Campus was there.
The Innovation for Health – Wei4H 2021, is the first activity of the IEEE Region 8 Entrepreneurship Initiative Program held in Greece with the pan-European character in the area of medical technology and healthcare. (more…)
